Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, professionally known as Carter Efe, is a Nigerian comedian, singer, and content creator. He was born on September 29, 2001, in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria, into a family originally from Ughelli North in Delta State. He is the sixth of seven children. Efe attended Grace Group of Schools in Ogun State for his primary education before moving on to Christ Apostolic Grammar School, also in Ogun State, for his secondary education. Later, he attended Hussey College Warri in Warri, Delta State.
After completing his secondary education in 2019, Carter Efe began creating and posting humorous videos online, drawing inspiration from fellow content creator Sydney Talker. His comedic skits, often characterized by his unique style of tearing his shirt, gained him significant attention on social media platforms, particularly Instagram.
In 2022, Carter Efe ventured into music and released the hit single “Machala,” featuring Berri Tiga. The song, dedicated to Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Wizkid (also known as Machala), received widespread acclaim and further elevated his status in the entertainment industry.
